12-yr-old boy molets, kills 4-yr-old girl

Idukki, Kerala, Jun 6: Police took a 12-year-old boy into custody in connection with the murder of a four-year-old girl.

According to police, on interrogation the boy admitted she was killed while he tried to molest her.

Though earlier he told the police that he had no involvement in the murder of the girl, the determination of the victim's mother and elder brother helped the police nab the accused in the murder, police sources added.

On interrogation, he admitted he used to watch blue films which prompted him to take such a cruel step.

After murdering her, the boy hid the girl in the hollow of a tree and later guided one of his friends to locate the body of the girl first to convince the people and police that he had no involvement in the incident, the sources added.

The police said he will be produced before the Idukki Chief Judicial Magistrate Court and sent to juvenile home.
